WOW are we excited!  For the Love of Yarn is so happy to welcome all of you loom knitters to our magazine. Anne Bipes and Melanie Mays, two amazing and seasoned designers, have joined us in our first ever foray into the world of loom knitting.

Anne has not only shared two patterns with us but she has also included a great how-to article with some Basic Stitches for Loom Knitting, and an article with answers to some commonly asked questions. Melanie has taken the wonders of loom knitting one step further and has shared with us her pattern for a shirt created with a knitting board.

We are also happy to share with our readers two book reviews of some new releases to the book store shelves.  We were thrilled to get our hands on the latest addition to the On the Go! series from Vogue Knitting. This addition, Bags Two, has some fantastic knits that will knock your socks off and have you carrying around your own designer purse in no time. And to further our excitement about loom knitting, one of our readers reviewed the American School of Needlework’s Learn to Knit of Circle Looms, a how-to book with patterns and full color pictures.

We also have patterns for hats, socks, blankets and so much more from some top-notch designers.  Their imagination and skill will amaze you! Don’t forget to check out our great yarn directory. We have added several groups and guilds and one might be in your area. If you don’t see the group or guild you belong to, feel free to send it to us and we’ll get the information in our directory at once! It’s free of charge and we are happy to promote your yarn loving group!

We continue to get thank you letters from readers who have used the FREE classifieds section to either reduce or build their yarn stash. Don’t forget that it’s only in our classifieds where you can buy and sell all your yarn craft related stuff for FREE.

If you haven’t done so already, hop on over and sign up for our newsletter. By signing up you’ll always be the first to know about all the new features we’re adding or when we’ve launched a new issue.

And that’s the fun for now! We are so glad you have joined us on this great adventure and we hope that you’ll stick with us. We are the only free online magazine offering both knitting, crocheting, and now loom knitting in one place, and we’re working hard to make you proud!

Until Next Time,

Alison
