A Note From the Editor Hello and Welcome to our first issue! We, at For the Love of Yarn, are so very excited to be bringing you this issue. We hope that this new online magazine combining two amazing yarn crafts, knitting and crocheting, will bring a voice to many more designers and authors. We want to reach working women (regardless if that work is in an office, as a housewife, as a student, or even as a grandmother - its still working!) who are eager to knit and crochet patterns that they can wear, share and show off their skills. This first issue is small but full of good things. We are excited to be working with new designers and seasoned designers alike. They have all, no matter their experience level, worked so hard and have been so detailed in creating their amazing designs. And we thank them for it! We also want to thank our advertisers! We're thrilled to have them participate in our inaugural issue and we look forward to exposing our readers to even more great businesses they may not have known about in the future. Our advisory board has been invaluable in helping us and guiding us in the right direction. Heather, Melanie, Pam, Sedie, Sarah, Stephanie, Jonelle, Ellen, and Amelia have especially been wonderful in taking their time to submit items they think would make a great addition to the magazine as well as fielding all of our wacky questions. Ladies, we couldn’t have done this without you - hopefully we are making you proud. And of course, thank you for visiting our site. We hope you stick with us and enjoy all that we have to offer. Our plan is to grow with each issue to bring you more interactive features, more articles, and more patterns - so if you don’t see something you want, or if you have a suggestion of what should be in our next issue - drop us a line! Please take some time to surf around at For the Love of Yarn. Not all the features of our site are enabled at this time but know we are working hard to bring it all to you. If you like us, tell a friend, if you don’t, please tell us why. It’s your feedback that is going to help us grow into something special! If you like to try your hand at designing - we say “go for it.” We are always looking for new knit and crochet designs that we can share with the world. Start working on your pattern today and submit it to us when you’re done. If you are a budding author related to any and all yarn crafts, we want to publish your work.
